I had a really cool Project Freelancer scene. So I gotta write it.

My helmet was pulled off as my body smacked against the ice covered surface of the lake, covering myself in freezing cold water. I could feel my armor weighing me down, forcing my weak body to sink.
Blood floated around me from my bullet holes, and fish swam away from me quickly. I could feel myself slipping away, somewhere calm and pleasant. Somewhere other than this world of chaos and war.
The cold was now warm to me, numbing my senses. I could see the top of the lake drifting further and further away, the sunlight draining from my vision.
The next thing I knew, I was laying in the mud at the bottom of the lake, my eyes closing. As I laid in the water, I thought about everyone who was still fighting on the short cliff shores, using their best techniques to conquer the enemy.
For some odd reason, the thought shot energy through me, and I clenched my fists. My eyes shot open, and I planted my feet against the mucky sand. Seaweed threatened to tangle on my armor, but it didn't. I was surprised my body was even able to handle the surge of power that coursed through my legs. I felt like a bullet as I rose to the top of the lake.
I felt myself emerge from the water, and gripped the slippery ice. Managing to pull myself up, I cracked my knuckles and found myself face to face with Insurrectionists. Some of my closest freelancer friends lay dead on the ground behind them. I growled.
"You just made a huge mistake."

Yep! That was my little short! I just thought of it while swimming underwater in the pool, bored. I had a song stuck in my head, and it was calm at first, then gets louder, which gave me the idea of bursting to the top of the lake. Yeah. Just had to get this idea down. Also, if you're wondering the song that inspired this, it's White Rabbit by Egypt Central. :3
