"Malachi scowled. 'I don't remember the Clave inviting you into the glass city, Magnus Bane.'
'They didn't,' Magnus said. 'Your wards are down.'
'Really?' The Consul's voice dripped sarcasm. 'I hadn't noticed.'
Magnus looked concerned. 'That's terrible. Someone should have told you.' He glanced at Luke. 'Tell him the wards are down.'"


Hey, my name is Kate. I'm fourteen, and I'm a new writer but an old reader. I've been reading since I could walk, and I've been walking since I was eight months old. Here are a few things about me. Not much, just enough to know what kind of person I am and what type of writing style I have. 

• I'm in love with The Mortal Instruments series and I plan in reading the Infernal Devices series next after I finish TMI. 
• I love a good love story, but I like to see something new twisted into the middle of it. 
• I'm always thinking up something new and writing it down. 
• I know I'm not as creative as I could be, and I'm trying to work on that. I'm getting better. 
• I'm weird, and some words I use are words that amuse me. Like "query." It's an odd word and it, honestly, makes me laugh.  
• I can't get enough of The 100 book series. They've interested me from the start. 
• If I were most related to any character in any book, I'd be a Magnus Bane. GWITTER GWITTER EVERYWHERE!!!
