Hi!!
I write poems and am currently working on a book as a college student.
Here's one:
I can't speak to myself since these words bounce off the walls to my own ears; they remind me of my distress and bring back the pain and suffering I seem to always feel.
Every drop of rain that falls off each rose petal during each rainforest rain pour themselves back into my eye sockets and dribble down creating stains on my skin. These stains I choose not to remove as they represent the sadness that swallows the void making it ever hungrier for more depression to force me to endure. The stains I see look back at me causing me to bend from the overwhelming pain. I have never cried this much in my life.
My breathing becomes short as the sensation of falling backwards takes over me.
I suddenly fall with the pummeling rain that splashes onto the tall concrete buildings beside me and the dozens of people walking on the sidewalk. The sensation in me stops right before reaching the ground, and still, the fall continues until my body splats. The pain lived chaotically inside me. I often wanted to die sooner than that, but not knowing the worth of my potential cause me to survive life rather than live it.
