I just wanna read a well written fanfic that doesn’t have underlining ‘weak strong’ character tropes. A lot of the time, one partner is the strong one that helps the other through there issues and there main issue is being away from that person and not being able to protect them which is all fine and dandy but it prevents both characters having emotional issues they need to overcome making it very heavily reliant on these underlines. A lot of the time, relationships are shown this way through fanfics. I struggle to find ship fics where both characters have an equal amount of issues and switch between the two helping each other out or switching between the dominant place in there relationship. (Eg.character A big spoons one chapter and character B the next) Also a lot of the time height=strong which annoys me a lot .
