;; i imagine that they'd probably be told tales about other hybrids.
;; unicorn hybrids would probably be the type they fear most ( funny, i know. ) they'd get told about how their horns were as sharp as razors and could cut other beings with ease, and how their teeth cut crunch through bones with little to no struggle, and then how they could probably eat beings whole. they'd get told that they used siren and mermaid tails + scales to snack on. and then wilbur ends up meeting one and it's nothing like he would have thought, he isn't dying or getting eaten by the hybrid but the hybrid turns out to be rather nice and he befriends them ( kinda. )

//Here's some weird ass Avian Wilbur for your Siren Wilbur-- I'm sorry for the horrid little starter, I'm not the best at sentences or anything like that. The avian male was hanging out near the water, staring into the lake. He sat on his knees and lightly put his hand in the cold-ish water after he took his sweater off of course. He sat there calmly, softly wrapping his wings around himself.
@sirenshows "I mean, I've heard of some sirens killing anything on sight. But of course that's only one side of a story." The male noticed the other looking at his wings, so he spread a wing out so the siren could look at it.
@-Sootycore- && he grumbled at that , stupid stories were always incorrect . ' the books are always false . we don ' t attack unless provoked , plus only reason a siren would attack a sailor would be out of fear , or because we ' re very protective over our territories . ' he explained , before examining the other with amazement . his kind never knew much about avians , he was a part of fae folk after all . usually staying hidden away .
@sirenshows "Ah, I remember some stories on sirens, not always the friendliest. But I'm an avian, you know, bird wings with a human body."
/ water withdrawal is also really interesting , personally i wouldn't go as far 2 believe it but apparently when keeping sirens far from the ocean using only hand made salt water, sirens tend to go into more of an animal instincts state rather than actually thinking. tending to hiss, screech, and scratch more at people who attempt to interact w/ them. and when exposed to the actual ocean or ocean water they'll kill on sight without anything there to stop them w/ little to no hesitation. that and also probably bc youre doing fucking RESEARCH on them if ur to do smth like that so you'd kinda have it coming :] its jkust really interesting stuff
