I was born in Long Island, NY. I'm the first of two children from Elizabeth Vining and Howard Bass. My mother was a model with Eileen Ford and my Father was a New York family lawyer and published writer. He now spends his time making jewelry from abalone shells.

I came into my own when I took to hitchhiking out on the Pacific and the Caribbean for 5 months aboard a few beautiful sailboats that just so happened to contain the right kinda crazy assholes, making me regret being an American. I read many books on those long lonely days and nights. These perfect circumstances helped me find my writing spirit again once losing it after I grew into my early twenties. For most of my twenties I bogged my mind down with trying to make money while living for the moment. Now that I'm free from the invisible, yet sharp fishhooks of society, I'm disillusioned and spend my time writing dark gritty works filled with passionate characters whom reflect upon society. To pay the bills for now I work odd jobs and submit my shorter works to publications that offer payment. I've many ideas and not enough time.

Some of the books and authors I love are: Shakespeare, Ender's Game, Stephen Hawking, Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Clancy, Dune, Hagakure, Robinson Crusoe, 1984, Brave New World, Watchmen, V for Vendetta, Fight Club, The Road, The Hobbit, The Time Machine, My Side of the Mountain, A Wrinkle in Time, What is the What, Where the Sidewalk Ends
