Hello All! It's been awhile since I've been around but I haven't been idle. In spite of the craziness of my life, I've managed to finish another book. I hope you all enjoy "Radiant". More chapters will be posted very soon.

I just read through your profile-- I'm wading through the Wheel of Time series right now! Haha... note that I said "wading through it". I'm on Lord of Chaos, and have been working on it for almost two years now.
@SJFaerlind Hey! Long time no see! =) Hope you and yours are doing well and had a lovely Christmas and have a Happy New Year! =)
(I saw your post on the thread, but tags in the forums being what they are, I figured you'd find this here faster.) :)
@SJFaerlind Sorry, hon. Somehow I missed this one...
I know exactly what you mean. Those "clichés" earned that tag honestly. If people didn't enjoy reading them or didn't relate to them, they'd have disappeared long ago. New and different is great, but there is still magic in those tried and true elements. So long as it's well-written, of course. :)
He still writes about elves @xxButterflyKissesxx . I read so many discussions on sites like Goodreads that elves and traditional fantasy elements are cliche and overdone and all of that. Personally, though I like new and different stuff too, I still love to read stories with all of those so-called "cliche" elements. It's a relief to see that some writers haven't given up on them yet. :)
I agree @bloodsword, this is a good place! :) I happen to love dark elves/drow as well which is probably RA Salvatore's fault. (Drizzt Do'Urden and his buddy Gwen will always be favourites of mine). I honestly lament the fact that most modern fantasy seems to be moving away from elves and dark elves so I'm glad you're still writing them. :)
@SJFaerlind This is a good place. =) Awesome. Runestalker was actually pretty fun to write, though a little darker than I normally go. Still, drow/dark elves have such a treasure trove of lore behind them, I find I'm never running out of material to write on.
Oh thank you very much @hellvis for checking out my blog. Spree was certainly doing her best to drag me away from my laptop as I'm sure your Collie does to you. Don't you just love endlessly tossing rubber toys covered in dog spit? lol ;)
I never know where to post these replies @bloodsword but you're welcome for the follow. I particularly enjoyed Runestalker in the fantasy smackdown. :)
Hi SJ, thank you for following my ramblings :) I love your blog, especially looking after your friend's Collie - I have a Collie and seem to find myself constantly covered in doggy toys whilst being pawed and given the evil eye :P
