@SN_supernova I'll have to take a look at it. Dune is pretty epic. It takes place a long time in the future and all the characters are human (some mutated) and no aliens and no futuristic technology or robots. It's in another galaxy, with no mention of Earth at all. There's like a feudal system of governance, like in the Middle Ages, with Houses of families in power and all serve an Emperor who rules the known universe in their perspective. It's a slow burn and not a lot of action, with entire pages of internal monologues. The world building is spectacular and there's a lot of complex, deep themes about politics, the environment, humanity, etc. And that's just the first book, there's like five more plus dozens of accompanying novellas.
