(2/2) After formation had been released, Hildegard stayed behind to watch Sasha fulfill her punishment. She had felt empathy for her childhood friend, and having not reintroduced herself yet saw this as the perfect opportunity.
Just as Sasha began to come to a stop, Hildegard placed herself in front of her.
“Sasha..” she started, tears welling in her eyes. “I thought you were gone forever!” She said, running towards Sasha and enveloping her in a tight hug, taking them both to the ground as she did so. “Hildegarde?” Sasha asked, only semi-aware of what was going on.
After the girls reunion Hilde escorted Sasha back to the female bunks, promising to sneak her a bit of food back.
Hilde left the bunks and made her to towards the wooden building, the mess hall. As she opened the door, nobody noticed. Too fixed on their plates of pottage and bread. As Hilde grabbed her portion, she looked around for a place to sit- however it seemed everywhere was full. Except for a smaller table in the far back left corner, occupied by three individuals she hadn’t met before. Hildegard made her way towards the table, setting her plate of pottage down before sitting down. “Please, don’t mind me- do continue the conversation you were having before.” She said as she brought the steaming spoon of thick and chunky pottage to her mouth and taking a bite, savoring the warmth of the bland food. However bland the meals may be, it was better than going hungry, so she had absolutely no right to complain.
