          First of all, I’m so sorry it took me so long to update.  Life has been a little chaotic lately, but I’m finally back!

          First of all — I’m sorry for taking so long to update. I know. I know.
          
          I wish I had a better excuse than this one, but the honest truth is that this story keeps doing things I didn’t plan for. I sit down to write and somewhere between where I started and where I ended up it gets heavier than I intended and I have to stop and just — live in it for a while before I can keep going.
          
          I keep trying for it to be less devastating. I genuinely do. And then I look up and somehow it’s worse.
          
          So. New chapter is up. I hope you love it. I hope it hurts in the way that good things hurt. And as always — I’m sorry, and thank you for still being here.
