LONELINESS - PART ONE
Loneliness. It's a feeling that people experience at least once in their lifetime. It can happen anywhere or anytime. Whether your surrounded by people or not. It's a feeling you don't expect to feel. To summarize it's definition, I define it as the loss of connection.
It's like sitting at a table with your friends. They're laughing, eating, and enjoying their time together. They're all having fun, except for you. Despite them being good people, you don't feel like your actually friends. That's because you loss connection. The "how?" is up to you to figure out.
Though, maybe I can help you figure it out. When loneliness occurs, it's often because of a lack of communication or interaction. Think of yourself in a romantic relationship and your lover breaks up with you. Not because your a bad person, but because you don't talk or do anything together. Another example is a child with busy parents. The parents work most of the day and when they come home they go straight to sleep. Whether or not your child is awake. It can also be the other way around. Imagine being a young adult and your parents want you to come home to visit or for a holiday, but you decline because you don't have time. By the fifth try, they stop trying and you don't ask questions. Life goes on. By the time you realize, it's too late. Something bad happens.
