@brontiide Look, I am just doing what I have been taught for years now. If you disagree with it then do it your way, but I wouldn't trust the internet all the time. And to be quiet frank, You asked for my critique and I gave you it, if you're not open to what I have to say then don't comment on the thread in the first place. You're the first person who has pointed that out to me, out of my years of experience and through my study in writing.

Ohhhhhh. But I'm pretty sure that's still correct, though. You only use a comma when each part of the dialogue separated by the 'I said' are still the same sentence. 
          
          Example: "I love cheeseburgers," said Joe, "but they don't love me."
           
          Vs:
          
          Example: "I love cheeseburgers," said Joe. "However, they don't love me."

@brontiide No, No, No! This is my fault because I guess I was clear enough! I don't wanna re-explain the comment, but that correct was meant for the 'I said, (notice that comma there instead of the period you originally put?)' The stuff I put in parenthesis was just to show you what I was talking about, so the sentence wouldn't seem confusing!
