in the library allows you to access it at any time, even if you’re offline. You can also put the book in a reading list, which is public so anyone can come onto your profile and see what you like to read. This, along with votes (which you can do for each individual chapter of a book, it is a small start located in the bottom left hand corner of the book on the app or in the upper right hand corner on the website and is basically your way of saying you like the chapter) helps the reader get more reads on their stuff and is a good way to show you’re enjoyment. You can also comment on stuff by clicking on the little quote bubble icon in the bottom middle of the screen on the app or by scrolling to the end of the chapter on the website. That’s pretty much all the basics though, hopefully you’re head doesn’t explode, but what I recommend most is just clicking around for a little bit on the app or website to figure it out (Also I really hope you’re question wasn’t rhetorical XD)

On the app, however, all you have to do is click the small pen in the bottom middle of the screen then select “create new story.” Also, the icon that is a bubble is for notifications which include “news feed” which is basically an account of anything your followers like or comment on. Then there’s the notifications, which are your individual notifications for when someone comments on your story or page or something like that. Then there’s also messages which are personal messages to you, like DMs. Then going back down the bottom bar, the icon that is the second from the left that looks like books is your library, so all of the stories you have saved essentially, and the icon all the way to the left is the homie button which is for general browsing and searching and stuff. Each of these things can also be accessed individually on the website when you click on your name in the upper right hand corner. Then the last general thing you need to know about Wattpad is the reading lists (which is my favorite thing about Wattpad). If there’s a book you really like but don’t have time to finish in one sitting, you can add the book to your library and reading lists. Sometimes the app will ask you if you would like to add the book but you can also add it by clicking on the plus sign next to read when you first open the book and you can see the synopsis and everything. Now, your library is private and only you can see it but it’s nice because if you’re in the app, having a book I.

That was a very general question but I’ll give you a quick run down of Wattpad of some stuff. And I’ll do both app and website since I don’t know which you are on. So, profile picture and account first: on the website, first click your name in the upper right hand corner, then click “my profile” which will take you to your profile. In the app there should be a little outline of a person in the bottom right hand corner. Then, to edit your profile picture and description, hit the thing that says edit profile, it should be down and to the right on your screen, in the app it’s in the upper left hand corner. On the website when you hit it, it should be pretty straight forward to edit your profile picture and description or whatever, but on the app, you have to hit “edit profile” which will then take you to where you can edit your picture/description. Also if you click on my picture/name, it will take you to my profile, and there should be a follow button right underneath my icon, which is how you follow people. And it should work pretty much like that on the app or website. To create a story, on the website, click your name in the upper right hand corner, then hit “works.” This will take you to a page with all of your unpublished and published stories. To create a new one, there should just be a “new story” button in about the middle of the screen.
