"later that night, I held an atlas in my lap, ran my fingers across the whole world and whispered where does it hurt? It answered: everywhere, everywhere, everywhere" Warsan Shire.
I can't even find the words to describe what is happening in the world right now, from Palestine, to Congo to Sudan and to all the other countries that are on fire. I stand with freedom everywhere, the removal of all shackles, from all the corners of this wretched world. I stand with humanity, with the protection of the sacredness of life. Everything, everywhere is linked, to get rid of the shackles that have been placed over us we must realise that we need liberation everywhere. Liberation in one place is not enough, the subjugation of life in one part of the world, means the devaluing of all life everywhere. We are one so why does media want us to only remember that when it comes to Ukraine but be blind to the cries of the victim when it comes from anywhere but the West. We cannot forget about what is happening in the rest of the world, we cannot allow our privilege and greed to blind us. We cannot allow the individualistic mindset the West wants to instil in us to prevail because all it does it line their dirty, dirty blood-stained pockets. I don't call for a ceasefire for what is happening in Palestine, I call for liberation. As better said by Kwame Ture: “There's a difference between peace and liberation. You can have peace and injustice. Peace isn't the answer. Liberation is the answer."
