He could have used moves to counter some of EXE's but it'd only make him weak. And She was already depleting his CAI. Though it didn't save him in the end, Yasushi fought well. If he had actually slept, he would have been able to use more of his CAI and very possibly won.
            
            He could have used Yamasachihiko but this is a problem if Ume.EXE is constantly popping in and out of reality.
            
            Though let's be honest, most of these characters would have won if they had prep time.

Yasushi's moveset
            
            Tsukuyomi - can create nightmares from eye contact when reflected off the night moon
            
            Amaterasu - Shadows become flames when reflected off the day moon
            
            Susanoo - Black electrical/fiery tornado
            
            Kamimusubi - Reshapes the terrain
            
            Takemimusubi - Creates more terrain
            
            Amenominakanushi - Disables the victim's will for a short period of time
            
            Umashiashikabihikoji - Able to multiply himself
            
            Amenotokotachi - Summons a giant shadow meteor
            
            Kotoamatsukami - Copies the opponent's moves before they use them
            
            Yamasachihiko - Pulls the victim in an inescapable black hole and imprisons them with no way out.
            
            Elemental Jutsu - His go-to weapon where he can pull CAI energy from the environment using a scroll but needs to recharge if overused
            
            Kage Claw -  He forms giant shadow-filled claws with his hands.
            
            Howling Black Flash - Yasushi can unleash a massive howling shockwave that destroys everything within its range
            
            Dark Bane Gloom True Shadowy Veil - Depending on the time of day, Yasushi can either teleport during the day, or freeze time at night
            
            
            How he fares against Ume.EXE
            
            Yasushi's biggest weakness is his insomnia, due to lack of sleep, his CAI is always weak, but whenever he does rest, he receives huge zenkai boost. But due to still lacking sleep, he remains low on CAI. This means Yasushi can only use one CAI move and make it count, his most powerful move at this point is the Howling Black Flash, which destroyed the entire dimension but left him drained and opened to get got, but he managed to harm the demon.

And as for Shiro VS Ume.EXE
            
            Shiro seemed way stronger than he usually is, but he had the specific means to counter Ume.EXE
            
            His light is holy and Ume.EXE being the entity she is, couldn't handle that light and had little defense against it, this situation was like if a person was "Power of Christ compels you" incarnate
            
            Ume.EXE tried to deplete Shiro's light CAI but his light rose at the speed of light, so she essentially slowed it down but at a barely noticeable pace
            
            The speed of light in New Life 64 is nearly 600 trillion miles per hour (584,060,140,694,970 mph)
            
            Even if Ume.EXE depleted all of Shiro's CAI, Shiro is light itself, and Ume.EXE, despite being an incomprehensible entity, still uses light to see in her eyes, a thing Shiro can take advantage of. Shiro can even steal light from others
            
            While yes Ume's strength is physically stronger than Satoshi and Shiro combined, Ume.EXE doesn't rely particularly on physical moves aside from the instance with Michi
            
            The weighted clothing Ume.EXE seemed to have been wearing in the illustration wasn't really there, in the story she was in her school uniform, the art was drawn before the story was even finished writing. It was the art that inspired the writing of the story

Ume.EXE was shown to have the capabilities of CAI depletion, teleportation, image creation, dimension travel, battlefield removal known as the void, and effects eletronics just from presence alone such as flickering lights
            
            She was able to reduce the CAI blast from Yasushi when he removed his inhibitors and slowly deplete Shizuka's psyhic CAI
            
            Satoshi's advantage, he has infinite speed reaction as long as his reflexes allow his body to carry him out of danger, and he pulls his CAI from a god known as Ebisu, essentially an infinite pool of CAI
            
            Ume.EXE can drain Satoshi's CAI all she wants but he'll always be at infinite, and his infinite speed reaction allowed him to see her coming when she tried to sneak up on him, and she couldn't escape his orb prison fueled by his infinite CAI
            
            Despite Ume.EXE was weakened by Shiro and split part of herself to back in the game made her temporarily weaker than before, Satoshi still had the advantage
            
            If Satoshi was limited to his regular CAI, it is possible he would have been got too
            
            All it took was for Satoshi to show he was ten times the demon Ume.EXE was and eventually overpower her.
