Quarantine had me thinking... :)

When I was younger I had no clue about what the world was. I didn't really care as long as I had fun and a full stomach. Oftentimes, I wanted to become a kid once more. I wanted to enjoy the feeling of ignorance and naivety again. But then I thought to myself, "the actions of today will also become memories in the future". So I decided to see the world grow instead.

Truth be told, the only thing constant in the world is change. Some may fear it and run away from it, but in the back of their minds they know it is inevitable.

When seeds are planted, with proper care and nurture, they will sprout. However, the fight is not over yet. When the seed sprouts, you will need to build a fence around it in order to ward off predators. Even so, fences cannot ward off weeds that will try to steal the plant's nutrients hence you must pull them out. When the plant finally grows strong enough to defend itself, you can remove the fence. Still, you must water the plant every now and then, move it to areas where it can get proper sunlight, and weed it. Talking to the plant once in a while helps too. After a few more months or years of waiting, the plant will bear flowers/fruits/vegetables which will make you realize that all those years of taking care of it was worth it.

Humans are like plants. They need care, nurture, and understanding in order to grow. But just like plants, humans wither and die. Why? Because nothing truly lasts forever. You, me, and everyone else who are breathing right at this very moment are lucky to be alive. We can still see the world grow, for better or for worse.

This was once in my description :P

          [I KNOW] by Sachiko

"The world is strange. It has a lot of mysteries that is yet to be solved. People are strange too. They form and sever bonds as they continue to grow old. So when life can't answer questions, I answer them on my own. But when imagination escapes me, I let others show me what they have known." I say, staring into his eyes.

"Then keep learning while you still can, my dear. You, of all people, should know that mortals only have several years." He says in a stern voice. He was the most intimidating yet caring man I've ever met.

          "I know." I reply.

He smiles before disappearing into thin air.

Tears began streaming down my eyes. I clutch my chest as I feel my heart shatter into pieces. "I know." I say once more as I drop down to the floor.
