A Tiny Story
As the sun sets , and each cloud expresses its desire to be truly seen through orange, pink, purple, and blue, haze paints the sky, choosing to show its worth even as humanity seems to destroy it with each passing day. A girl walks up, small and frail, looking like she's crossed oceans and wars for this moment in time. Looking up at clouds, the receding Sun and approaching Moon, time seems to come to a halt, so she could smile her wonder filled, soul kissed smile up at the clouds in appreciation of the glorious sight proclaiming just how much love was put into the ground that supported creations like her, the sky that painted dreams and possibilities with a midnight blue and colors of spring for the promised awaiting fulfillment of a new day, and people around her that either choose a grim transition from black to white as their template for a portrait of their lives or everything and anything to cover up the shame, insecurities, and weaknesses. But it's okay. It's okay. At least she smiled without unleashing the chaos that plagued her life out in the open. She couldn't corrupt her dream so she kept on. And kept on.
