Random thought- My whole life I thought coup d’état was pronounced coup (like a chicken coup)- dee-at. I learned yesterday it was pronounced coo-de-tah when I said it and my sister looked at me like an idiot. She said, and I quote, "How the f*ck am I related to you?"
