          About continuing my fanfics...
          
          I've been debating this for a while now, and I just don't see it working. It makes me feel bad, because I did basically tell everyone that I would finish them this time, but I also don't want to put myself in a corner because of that. I have SO much to do this year, and I just don't see there being any time to finish them.
          
          I'm really sorry to anyone who's been looking forward to new chapters. I was genuinely thinking about continuing them just for you, but I would have to sacrifice time on things that I actually need to do.
          
          I hope you understand.
          
          Keeping this account just in case I randomly decide to continue in like six months or a year.

To add onto my last post, when I come back from my break and continue my fanfics (Girls Like Girls and The Wheeler Pact), I'm thinking about writing a Byler fanfiction that takes place ten years (might change the time skip to be less or not) after season five. It starts off pretty sad. Basically, everything that happened in season five happened, and it turns out Mike was closeted and still thinks about Will, but they will have a happy ending in the end. 
          
          It's inspired by this Byler edit: https://www.tiktok.com/@amooninmypalm/video/7590335917068455188 (which honestly made me feel quite sad for what they did to Mike)
          
          It's also going to be called "Smalltown Boy"
          
          Here's the description (for now):
          
          "...but there is a story he can never tell, or, at least, not the real story."
          
          All of his friends left Hawkins. Mike never did. Instead, he built himself a false life of happiness, conforming to everything he thinks he should be. A beautiful wife. Two children. And a never-ending feeling of emptiness. Because when he's alone, he can't help but think about what could have happened — what could have happened if he never ran away from his feelings.
          
          That thought only grows stronger when Mike reunites with his friends ten years after the final battle and sees Will for the first time since he left for college.

          Hey, everyone. I know I'm on break but I just wanted to check in after watching the Stranger Things finale. So... that was quite something. I was kind of done with ST after season four but volume one made me excited for it again (for nothing apparently). I don't even know where to start with it. Mike's character has totally be ruined, they couldn't give El a happy ending after everything she's been through, and Will gets a five second random epilogue boyfriend (why). I was so excited for Byler to potentially happen after volume one because it had such great potential but they really fumbled in volume two and the finale. 
          
          When I return in February, I will be making a collection of short fix-it Byler fics as well as working on a Byler story that takes place some time after season five. These two characters had such potential, especially Mike, but were completely fumbled.
          
          Anyway, happy new year everyone, and see you in February!

          I'm taking a break from Wattpad until February. Sorry to everyone that's following my fanfictions, but I have a lot of things to do, and I can't focus on them when I feel like I also need to update my stories weekly. 
          
          Do not fret — I'm not abandoning them entirely. I might even write some chapters during my break, so that you'll have extra when I come back (maybe). But I've been on Wattpad way too much and it's getting to a point where it's interfering with things I really need to get done.
          
          Thank you so much to everyone who's been active, commenting on my stories (I seriously love reading your comments so much!), and following me.

(MILD STRANGER THINGS VOLUME TWO SPOILERS AHEAD)
          
          Hey! So we can all agree that volume two was pretty underwhelming, right? I just got back into Stranger Things, feeling excited about the new episodes for the first time in years, only for all of that to happen. I'm probably not even going to watch the finale, just because all of those episodes were just not it.
          
          I'm also going to be really busy in Janauary, and I'm deciding to take a break at least until the end of January. I'm not sure if you are still excited about reading my fanfics or not, because now I'm just not excited about Stranger Things any more at all — though I think they'd still probably be a good way to practice my writing.
          
          Thanks to everyone who's shown interested in my work (I'll try to continue it if you're still interested, since I did have fun writing it), but I'm just going to be really busy, and I can't focus if I have to focus on updating my stories every week too.

Happy holidays for those of you that celebrate Christmas! In the festive spirit of giving, my gift to all of you (and the writers whose works I'm mentioning) is promoting some works I enjoyed here on Wattpad that don't get the views and engagement they deserve.           I know 99% of my followers are Stranger Things fans, so I'll start out with ST fanfictions:
          - you can kiss a hundred boys in bars (Ronance) by @thatonealibi: A really great Ronance fanfiction. I love the way the author manages to capture every character's personality, especially Robin's!
          - For the Record (Byler) by @fnzcleradin: A modern AU fic set in a record shop. I love the idea and the chapters are a little longer but a lot of fun to read nonetheless. I haven't gotten past chapter one yet, but I'm enjoying it. I love the writing style too.
          
          Now, an original story idea that I've been really enjoying:
          - The Weeping Jackal by @BurntSugarPlum: Such a cool story following Egyptian mythology and an Egyptian demigod (of death). It's filled with all sorts of little details and I absolutely love the author's writing style. It's a mix of horror, fantasy, and paranormal. It has shorter chapters that are filled with lots of little details (an incredibly amazing lines). Go check it out!

          And an update: I'm currently working on chapter two of The Wheeler Pact in hopes to get it out by Friday. (I'll be watching volume two all Friday long so not sure if I'll get any writing in) I might just have to delay it until Saturday, but I'm trying to finish it! (I also will most likely be taking a break from Wattpad until I'm done watching vol 2 to avoid spoilers)
