The Soul Collector
Kairav met his old friend one evening. It was supposed to be a normal meet-up with an old friend if only he didn't get a call from a friend that the old friend actually died a week ago.
As Kairav comes to a sudden realisation that he can see and interact with ghosts, his normal yet boring life doesn't remain boring anymore. Soon enough, he finds himself reluctantly signing a deal with the soul collector to play the bait to collect all the lost souls who slipped through the system and became haunting spirits.
But there's a catch. Kairav is scared of ghosts. Deadly scared, pun intended. It's up to the soul collector to babysit an almost unwilling participant in every mission. As they spend more time collecting lost souls, they learn things about each other that they shouldn't have learnt. Now, they don't know if they should let it be or make some sacrifices for the other one. Their friendship is absurd to begin with. A mortal human and an immortal demon? It was never supposed to happen. A happy ending for the blooming friendship was never an option. But what happens when it's time for the soul collector to collect the very soul he's swore to protect?
How does this idea sound?
