does anyone know what exactly happened to dream in note to self at the end? im not gonna say what happened since i dont wanna spoil. but i need closure, how did it happen?

Note to self kinda broke me I read large last chapter while giving my friends mom some bbq sauce for ribs I was crying and I broke down as I knocked on the door and I was too embarrassed to tell them why I was crying and said “I like this bbq sauce”
