Harry Potter: The Girl Who Defied Death
Main Character(can change it)
Name: Lyra(can change it)Black-Potter
(Daughter of Sirius Black and a hidden descendant of an ancient healer bloodline.)
Born secretly during the First Wizarding War, Lyra was hidden from everyone — even most of the Order. Only Remus Lupin, James Potter, and Lily Potter knew she existed.
The prophecy about Harry was only half the prophecy.
The second half spoke of:
“The child whose hands shall close the wounds of death itself.”
Her Powers
Lyra possesses an ancient magic called Vitae , a lost branch of magic older than wandwork.
She can:
Heal cursed wounds instantly
Remove dark magic from objects
Feel people’s pain physically
See “echoes” of the dead
Bring someone back from death…
…but only under terrifying conditions.
Every resurrection steals part of her own life.
The more she uses the power, the paler and weaker she becomes almost ghostlike.
The Twist
She cannot truly resurrect people forever.
The dead return changed.
Not evil. Not zombies. But incomplete.
They remember things no human should know:
whispers beyond death,
forgotten spells,
truths about souls.
Some become unstable after returning.
The Ministry bans all discussion of Lyra’s magic.
The Real Conflict
When Cedric Diggory dies during the Triwizard Tournament, Lyra secretly brings him back.
But Cedric returns speaking about:
“Something worse than Voldemort waiting beyond the veil.”
Soon:
ghosts begin disappearing,
portraits stop moving,
dementors start fleeing Azkaban,
and the veil in the Department of Mysteries begins tearing open.
Every resurrection weakens the boundary between life and death.
