I was groped on the night of 15th on the streets of Montreal on my way home near my neighbourhood block
          I couldn’t even react properly and froze for a moment
          I’m home now, but I don’t have the guts to say anything to anyone… I was a mess
          I was still left in shock and barely processing things then…
          Filed the report immediately that night but still in disbelief that this happened to me
          Considering that my neighborhood has always been safe
          I slept through the night somehow, now I don’t know abt the day
          I was contacted by a resources centre for victims of sexual assault and violence to follow up further abt my well being next afternoon
          They were trying to understand how was doing and feeling the next morning and how they are there for me with any kind of support I need regarding emotional wellbeing and more details regarding the case , if need be some brief information abt forensic evidence collection, therapy counselling, financial loss compensation, judiciary etc
          I was being normal around my siblings as like I said I don’t feel confident enough to speak to anyone at home
          I’ll need time to think abt it
          I know how my folks reaction. I’m not ready to deal with that
          As of now I’m ok
          I am not sharing my incident to gain sympathy or make a tamasha of myself but in hopes that this will give courage to anyone for them to speak up and take actions against such creeps & not let themselves suffer with the s/a trauma in the back of their minds…
