I would consider myself an average writer in that I can tell a story even if the grammar and punctuation are off at times. Are my stories, genre changing? Absolutely not. The most I hope for is that they are a love letter to the genre which has brought me sheer joy over the years. Are mine a little too descriptive compared to the more straightforward, action focused stories I have found here? Yes, it’s my style and I try to do what works for me. While others plays to their strong suits as they should. There comes a point where I have had to accept things. That I can’t squish myself into a spot where it isn’t a right fit for me. And I am not just talking about writing but personal life too. This week alone, I have had to accept a couple of things about myself and since they are both trigger sensitive I won’t say. It isn’t always easy to admit them openly no less accept them and it can hurt. Was buying a loads of books by your new favourite author the best way to cope? Unsure but I did it because it makes me happy and that is what it is about; accepting and then being content. Burn for You, Red Kiss and A Kiss At Midnight are the stories I wanted to tell. Whether it is writing a paragraph a night. Finally figuring out the words to make a previous sentence you were struggling with, work Having fun going over the source material to inspire lines such as this one; ‘To let crimson drip to the floor just like the tears that splashed her cheeks minutes ago.’ All of that makes me happy. So, the moment when I do write the words, ‘The End” to Red Kiss it really is the end. And I know I am content with that decision to step away along with the other big change I am making. My stories are not future best-sellers but they are mine and hey, I got to write about a 5’5ft lady sitting on her 7ft tall husband’s chest - still really pleased about that scene.

@EmilyMorgans all is well just sometimes I voice my thoughts aloud. Thank you for your kind offer ❤️ It is the words you write that create those chapter recaps whether it is the stoic Beast or the rake with the A+ tush, he is next on my list and there is no rush on reading mine. I do really like that point about returning someday to writing if a story idea starts nagging at you and my characters do always like showing their claws, hehe. For now, I am enjoying like you said, finishing these works before I get to move on to something a bit different though I never not be reading

@PhoebeKells1 (Not me missing 99% of notifications about announcements) It makes me sad to think you will walk away from writing, but I'm comforted by you enjoying writing the stories you are working on and finishing them. And the glorious thing about writing is that it's a hobby that can be picked up again at any point should a new story start nagging in the back of your head. (Look at me, I had a fourteen-year-long writer's block...) Your writing is wonderful and you have your own style, which is more than a lot of writers can say. Honestly, your chapter recaps are better written than my actual chapters lol I will definitely get around to reading your stories once I get through a couple of others on my life, because I love the plots from what I can tell. I hope all is well, and I know I'm technically just a stranger on the internet, but if you ever want someone to vent to or talk to, you know where to find me ♥

@MiniBoo2214 think that sums up all of my plots, being inspired after doing some random task and I 100% agree with cherishing the story you wrote because you did that, you put the words to the page
