Hey everyone! I know it's been a while, and I'm here with a new story. I published a short story called Now What? and hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
That said, I am still working on Culture Shock, I just have to get real with myself and admit it probably won't be done and ready to publish until the end of the year, at the earliest. So, unfortunately, that's what's going on there.
Upside, I am still writing, and I am publishing stuff for y'all to read that I think you'll enjoy just as much.
Thanks for the patience and let me know what you think!

All right everyone, I've made a decision with Culture Shock that I know will be better in the long run but might be upsetting right now. I'm going to go back and revise the story as it is so I can move forward in a clearer, better way for the story. I hope you all will love it as much as you do now, and I'll be hoping to update the chapters by July. I'll be working on this as much as possible.
Once again, thanks for your patience and I look forward to sharing my updates with you.

Hi everyone! Thanks for your patience this past week, I really appreciate it.
I am working on more chapters for Culture Shock as I type this out, and I'm having a bit of a problem I'm trying to work through it. I may not make this week's update as I tweak things to fit and I just wanted to let everyone know in the event I don't update this week. I realized I'm 41k words in and nowhere near the end, and I'm trying to get things moving while keeping my characters true to themselves.

Hey everyone!

The world is pretty wild right now and I hope you're all staying safe and healthy. That said, I'm working on Culture Shock, and planning to start releasing a chapter a week by the end of the month. I apologize for abandoning it for a while, but in addition to the pandemic and the loss of my cat I had other personal things going on that sent me into a lot of anxiety and then some depression. I'm doing better now, but I'm still taking things a little at a time.
I hope you'll keep reading as I begin posting again.

Hi everyone!

I have a lot going on still and hope things settle down soon. I haven't forgotten Culture Shock, I promise, I'm just struggling to get my schedule under control and energy back.

I will update as soon as possible.

          Thank you,

          Sarah S.

Hello to all my followers and readers!

I just wanted to thank you all for your patience as I've dealt with losing my furbaby. I'm finally beginning to feel better and have that desire to write again, so if not this week, expect an update on Culture Shock within the next two weeks.

I'm doing better every day, even though some days I really notice her absence. I don't know if I'll ever feel more thankful about the time I had with her than I am upset about the time I am without her, but I hope so.

So, in summary, I should be back to updating regularly two weeks from now.

HI guys,

There won't be an update for Culture Shock this week. After a steady decline, I took my cat to the vet yesterday and was told she likely had cancer and to make her as comfortable as possible for as long as possible. Immediately following that, she steeply declined again and we emergency rushed her to the vet tonight and had to put her down. I'm shattered, and I can't tell when I'll adjust to this new normal. She was eight years old, and she was the best cat. My giant sass monster with the sweetest loves and easy purr. Nothing will be the same, and I'm struggling with that right now.

It was a crap end to a crap week.

I'll resume Culture Shock as soon as I can.

          Thank you,

          Sarah S.
