I'm an artist turned author. I trained in Classical Painting at the University of Central Florida, and received my Master’s in Fine Art from Parsons School of Design in New York City. If Florida was where I discovered my passion, New York was the place I found my voice. Writing a book was my obvious next step, once I realized I’d been trying to tell stories with pictures for years. Painting with words is even more fun than painting with oil.

I live in Florida with my husband, son, and at least a dozen imaginary friends from my books. A painter at heart, my writing incorporates art judicially, both in narrative content and supporting materials. My characters are derived from the people and places that have influenced my own life—at least one beloved pet makes it into every book—but the stories they live will take you places you have never imagined, and won’t want to leave.
