Like many people I've thought of writing a book for years. My love of literature began before I was five and has never changed. In Dubai, I participate in book clubs, the Emirates Literature Festival and I am a regular reviewer and contributor to Dubai Eye Radio on the Siobhan Live show and Talking of Books. I have eclectic taste and some of my favourite books are The Northern Clemency by Philip Henscher, Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver, Alias Grace and The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Attwood. I like reading biographies too and thought Claire Tomalin's Dickens biography was terrific. I enjoy discussing literature with my nephew, also a writer, and my friend Katharina. So this is my first effort. I hope you enjoy it.
