Suicide is not selfish. Suicide is what happens when the world is so cruel to people that they can't take it anymore. Any fear of dying, any nice thing, all of that disappears under the onslaught of hatred, depression, and disappointment.. And then they do it. They are gone from the world. Not to say that it's the best solution.. While "Suicide is a permanent fix to a temporary problem" is a very common phrase, it is true for the most part. A lot of causes for suicide are problems that could be overcome with time. Most people who do it are so caught up in the moment that they don't think about that (no hate, I can understand that).
If someone is thinking about suicide, others should do everything in their power to help. Stay with them, give them the suicide hotline number, in extreme cases (like they are actively trying to do it) take them to the emergency room, because they are equipped to help people trying to commit suicide.
Suicide is not selfish, but it isn't the best solution. If someone does it, obviously they were going through something and/or couldn't take it anymore. The amount of people who have committed suicide is very sad, and I feel that we must be doing something wrong. People really don't think about what others could be going through or how they're feeling, which is a big part of it. Or they don't take people seriously when they say they want/need help.
I use commit for lack of a better word.. commit makes it sound like a crime, which it is not (or should not be, as some countries still call it illegal).
Please, please if you need help come talk to me. Please do. I'm always free. If I'm not active at the time but you need to get something out, go ahead and DM me still. It's fine. I understand that many say this and usually you just have to go "yeah, okay" and never do it but seriously. Come. To. Me. If. You. Need. To. Talk. I won't judge.
I'm always here,
