Ah, I have been neglecting all of you delightful Midgardians. I oft ponder over what would happen if I did indeed rule over you, then come to the understanding that it is better the way it is currently.
With me upon my rightful throne while Thor traipses round your Earth.

Very true. So, ArchAngel, infamous "Trickster", correct? -widens eyes- I'm a First Angel. -winces slightly- That's kind of a new "experiment" Dad was working on. -glares at sky- Not exactly fun having the Winchester's on my ass. They think I'm a demon.

Sassageddon

@DementedlyUnicorn Those boys wouldn't know a gift-horse if it kicked em in the mouth. *Shakes head* What was Pops thinkin', making another Angel? And one that they /thinks/ a /demon/?!

Six days until the last Hobbit movie gets released on DVD. You know what that means?
PJ's boxing day tyranny is over. No longer shall Australia get portions of Middle Earth released, year after year, on the same day.
But then, it is also the goodbye to his last installment in the world. And we can only wait for remakes only.
But we can read the series to our hearts content.
And for the first time since we begun this journey back in 2001, we can sit and watch it all from Bilbo's finding of the ring 60 years earlier than which Frodo set out on his quest to Rivendell, and ultimately the mountain of fire.
But for us, midway was this mountain, when it should have been the end.
Thanks P.J. Now we can spend a day watching something we adore. And in only six movies.

Sooo, this is the infamous Gabriel that I've heard so much about....-smiles- Hi. I'm Lore. -opens bag of candy- Carry for a sweet? -throws bag at you- I could bring you back you know.. God I sound stupid....-winces- -soft voice- Forgive me Dad... anyway...- shakes slightly- How 'bout it?

Sassageddon

@Lore-Rowian *chuckles* I don't need bringin' back sweet cheeks. I was never gone. Well I was, but Pops made short work of that.
If those buckos knew, it'd be like painting a big bulls eye on my back.

Writers are all parents. And they're the only ones who get to pick how they look, how they act. Their character, their rules. Writers birth an entire world.
But what most don't realize is, the rules are the boundaries of the world. The children and the world co-exist. Writers can't force a character to do anything, and if they do, we know it isn't them.
Despite all this, I like to think that they're there for the ride as much as we are. Never knowing where it will end up, never knowing where it will twist and turn. Because things never quite turn out as you plan them.
The one thing I love about writers is that they welcome you into the deepest depths of their soul. You get a glimpse. In that glimpse you see everything they are. That they can be.

So when you write, I hope you do it for yourself. Not for others. Because then is it not only satisfying for the soul, but it's so satisfying when your praised for something that you want to write.

I have a question for everyone, I don't care if we've never spoken before. I want to know why you read.
Is it for amusement, or something else?

Sassageddon

@Lady_Laufeyson It is a good answer.

@Loki_x hmmmm okay, then... I would say that I read to get away, to get someplace that isn't everything I have around me, it's intriguing and creates new worlds comprised of my wildest dreams, and, thus, I continue to read all of the time.
That a fair enough answer? :P
