No offense, but how do I know YOU aren't a scammer? You have all the signs; low reading count, no works, anime profile pic...I'm not trying to be rude but I'm pretty cautious nowadays

Hi! Thanks for letting me know it was a scammer who commented on my book. Scammers\bots are so annoying, claiming they read the book and that they are a artist willing to draw the characters, etc. Luckily for me, I haven't contacted any of them (I'm too lazy), but thanks for letting me know! I now know the pattern and will watch out for them.

Bots/Scammers are really irritating! They keep leaving comments at the end of each of my stories (mostly ones unfinished or unstarted), claiming they've read them and that they are skilled comic and manga artists willing to make offers as well as sharing me the names of their social media profiles. Like they really think I'm gonna fall for their stupid traps as well as waste my money on them. These people seriously need to get out and go touch some grass instead bothering people with their fake claims.
@YutoKurenai Their methods are indeed pathetic. I remember when I got my first scammer comment on a now-deleted story. The scammer claimed to have read my entire story, but I checked the views and they hadn't gone up enough for the scammer be telling the truth. I then very quickly got to their profile and saw the suspiciously huge number of people they had followed with a day-old account. From there were a million red flags, and I challenged the scammer (they deleted their account a few hours later). They're starting to make themselves more subtle now, but they can never trick people who educate themselves on scammers. I've seen people on Reddit talking about how they got tricked into paying hundreds for AI art and it's awful. Wattpad needs to let every new user know about potential scammers on their platform, and they also need to be swifter at removing scammers. Fortunately, many people choose not to interact with a scammer once an accusation is put on their message wall. But there's still many naive authors who are so excited to get attention that they miss red flags.
Hi! Sorry to bother you I just had to question about a certain kerryduran, you called him a scammer what do you mean by that is he scam because he literally just sent me a message offering me a deal.
@ScammerWarner yeah fool me once shame on me fool me twice...less likely, do it a 4th time and i recognize a pattern, scammers suck

@lionspounce444 Sorry to hear that the scammers have been bothering you a lot. It honestly sucks (especially for new authors) and Wattpad hasn't been efficient at removing these fake users. Thankfully, more people are becoming aware of all this.
