David was born in an old, cold gold mining town and grew up listening to ghost stories around campfires. Years later, in cities on the other side of the world, he worked for law firms and banks. There, he learned a lot about real monsters. 

David's work has been reviewed as "clean and tight, the protagonists nicely formed, and some of the descriptions truly terrific...gruesome in the casual way of Clive Barker's Everville" and as "mixing elements of horror, action and science-fiction...with beautifully realised battle scenes."

David's dark fantasy and horror stories have been published in lots of places, including Agog! Ripping Reads and Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine Best of Horror 2.
