UPDATE {1}
Howdy!
I know that I haven’t updated AiB: The Face Cards in almost a month, but I’m here to tell you all that I’m finally getting back into the swing of things.
The Queen of Diamonds [2] is almost done. I estimate the final word count to be around 3,200 words or so. This chapter marks a huge milestone for this fic, as its publication will mean that the first tenth of the story would have been fully written!
Now, the reason why it’s taking so long? Well, it’s a multitude of things:
1) I’m learning real quick that Diamonds games are easily the hardest to write. From trying to discern the best possible strategies for every player to creating clever solutions to seemingly impossible problems, Diamond games are truly exhausting to write.
2) School is back in full swing this time of year, with my next break being over 3 months away. It’s because of this that I’ll have much less free time to write, although I’m sure the majority of you reading this can understand.
3) I’ve also taken these past few weeks as a sort of break for me. The last two months of 2023 for me were purely dedicated to writing this fic.
With all said and done, however, I’m pleased to announce that the chapter should be posted before the end of the week.
