Hailing from Newport News, Virginia, Danielle Solomon embarked on her creative journey at Howard University where she studied broadcast journalism and playwriting. After graduation, she jumpstarted her career at Scripps Networks, formerly known as Katz Networks, in Original Programming. In 2022, Danielle was selected for Hartbeat's Women Write Now Fellowship. Her short film, "Hey Boo," premiered at Sundance and is currently streaming on Peacock and Tubi. Aside from Hey Boo, Danielle was a part of the team behind OTHERtone's, Drapetomaniax: Unshackled History and co-created Mind Your Business for Bounce which broke a network record. She also works in unscripted television as the Original Programming Manager at Fuse. Danielle is a rising star in the world of screenwriting, blending her journalism background with her creative storytelling
skills.
