@TheSeventhWriter It's my chosen name. "Nickname" sounds too trivial, and "actual birth name" holds the implication that Finley isn't really my name. I changed my name because my birth name is too gendered (I'm non-binary). Why do you ask?

            Hmm, I think HTTLAC sort of has an epilogue already? My favorite kind of endings are open ones, and I've at least hinted at the future of Alan and Torrin. But I'll take clarity into consideration when revising...
            
            A lot of my stories do actually exist in the same universe! though there isn't much continuity between them. For example, "The Life of Clutterbots" alludes to "Carpool". (Most of my other stories are quite short... read them if you like I guess hahah) And I have actually included the Ambinet (it's a pun on the word "ambient") in other stories I believe...

            When you start to revise the book, pm me! I wanna see how that version turns out!
            I wanted a sequel cause I wanted to see what happened to Alan and Torrin (lol no need for the other characters XD), so if you can (or want to), maybe write an epilogue?
            Also, (it would be so cool) do any of your other books exist in the same world? You could nudge at the fact that there once was a sentient AI living on the ambuite (is that how it's spelt?) or that there used to be an organisation that was against studying AIs.
            That's all the questions I have for now, I think. Thanks for responding to my previous comment!

            As a rule, I don't generally read or write sequels: I feel they detract from the original and often continue stories that are better contained in one book. So I can definitively say that there will be no HTTLAC sequel. It works best as a single story, and besides, I don't know what would happen in a hypothetical sequel!
            
            (But you're welcome to write your own sequel, if you give me credit... XD)
            
            However—I do plan to revise HTTLAC at some point! I wrote it a year ago, and my writing has improved a lot since then. One of my plans is to add more conversations between Alan and Torrin (just like your idea!), since I thought the novella would benefit from more of those, as well as a slight slowing of pace.
