Hello,
Today, I want to address something important about my story Love Through Online.
As a writer, I deeply value genuine creativity. True writing is a sincere process that respects originality, not one about copying, re-editing, or replicating someone else's ideas. Writing isn’t about fame; anyone can write, but the goal should always be authenticity—creating something unique from personal experiences and imagination.
Sometimes, stories may seem similar even if independently crafted by different writers. Dialogues or themes can occasionally resemble one another, which can sometimes confuse readers. However, it’s beyond anyone’s control. Here, readers play a significant role. By approaching stories with support and attention, they can often see the subtle differences between works.
This story, based on real-life experiences, has recently come under question. Someone accused me of incorporating their online conversations into my work. This hurt deeply, as Taehyung, a character in my story, is inspired by someone very close to me—not by anyone else’s interactions. Copying another’s words isn’t just wrong; it goes against a writer's ethics. My writing reflects my own truth.
I hope this clarifies any misunderstanding and reaffirms my commitment to authenticity.
With respect,
Liana (Srijita)
