Assalamu Aleykum sisters. As you know, my books are all religious. About the Deen and etc... But there's this part, the drama, and the romance that I'm not liking because it has Haram parts so I wanted to write an Islamic book. Not romance nor anything else. Just Islamic.
You know why the romance can lead to Haram?
Its because as Muslimah's, writing romantic things can make us desire it and from that you can commit so many sins, like Zina. I read a book called, something like " Why wattpad romance books are not halal" or something like that. And it made me think.
I truly don't want to be the cause of you guys sinning. And I know that I'm not writing anything "Zina" But I don't know. Tell me your thoughts.

Jazakallah khairan. May Allah bless you.

@SereneSaffiya as long as you have the right intention. i write romance to show young muslim girls that love an be beautiful when halal. love when Haram can lead to our doom (thus the name of the book xD). so as long as your intentions are good, and you encourage halal love, it should be alright!

im also writing a medieval romance and i've written a contemporary romance novella. more than the passionate acts, i wanted to show the emotional connection, the love, and how they navigate their very different, almost clashing professions, and find trust and love between each other. it's for writing practice so i write the ebst draft of To Our Doom better!

@SereneSaffiya I read if it doesn't promote anything haram, has a purpose and it doesn't have any description of woman or man's awrah its fine. I think a romance book like the one with marriage and stuff has a nice purpose if you don't focus too much on the mushy stuff like showing girls how marriage would be like and like the procedures and also what to expect in a husband and to have boundaries and choose the right person yk it also encourages the reader when the protagnists are pious to also be like them

@ pretty_otosha Assalamu Aleykum sister. I have been reading your book, I'm slow I know but it's due to school. The semester and so on. I really like your book MashaAllah but I would endure Islamic things. If you want Islamic advice, inshallah so it doesn't look like a "worldly" book.
