الفصل العاشر رحلة مع بترش – مدينة الجان
          سارت ليناثور خلف بترش، وفي داخلها كانت الكلمات تتصارع.
          منذ أن رأيته لأول مرة، عرفت أنه ليس رجلًا عاديًا… كسب ثقة شعبي، وها هو الآن يكسب ثقة شعب الجان. من تكون حقًا يا بترش؟
          توقفت، ونظرت إليه وهو يمشي بشموخ وهيبة، وكأن المدينة نفسها تستقبله.
          التفت فجأة وناداها:
          «ليناثور!»
          لم تجب.
          «ليناثور…!»
          ثم بصوت أعلى:
          «ليناثور!!»
          أخيرًا انتبهت وقالت:
          «نعم كابتن، أسمعك.»
          قال مبتسمًا:
          «ما بك توقفتِ؟ هيا، لنذهب ونتعرف على مدينة الجان وشعبها.»
          نظرت إليه، ولم تستطع مقاومة شعورها.
          انهارت الدموع من عينيها، وركضت نحوه، واحتضنته وهي تبكي.
          راقبهما والد غامي من بعيد، وقال بصوت خافت:
          «حقًا… أنت الأب لمن لا أب له يا بترش.»
          ثم دخل منزله وأغلق الباب.
          توقف بترش للحظة، وليناثور ما زالت تعانقه.
          قالت بصوت متهدج:
          «شكرًا لك يا بترش… لقد أعدت إليّ الأمل.»

          Interesting. I take a step towards her. Intentional. Steady.
          
          She chuckles nervously, stepping back as though I’m riddled with a plague. She only stops short when her back meets the dried grass that pretends to be a wall. Very interesting indeed. Again, I don’t need a written confession to deduce that something happened.
          
          Ziwe dreamed about us. A dream—if I’m to go by how raggedly her breathing is coming out—that was (very possibly) similar to mine. And to say mine was anything less than sinful would be betraying one’s own beliefs.

Ngl, it's been a few tough days for writing. Woah!
          
          Anyway, a quick "please forgive me" for those currently reading my futuristic dystopian African mythology - Axe of Kondo. I know it's been quite slow updates on that one (Man, writing two books at a time isn't easy) - however, I'm doing my best to get back to it.
          
          On the bright side, I'm making tremendous progress with my other book - The Bead & Blade relics, which could be because I'm enjoying the style of writing I'm using with it a bit more. Not kidding, the style is pretty cool - check it out. 
          
          Either way, I'll be posting weekly updates for both (possibly fewer chapters for Axe, but something anyway). See you all in the comment sections!
