@Black__dove We can get behind an ending like that!

@Glory_feeling2 The last movie does sort of gloss over a pivotal part that happens when the hobbits return home, but some of the other parts are there and they get there eventually ;)

@SeriesVerse Thanks! I liked the idea of a villain turned hero and the understanding of the 'other' side of the story. finding out why she was like she was if you will. I was inspired by the character Riddick from the Chronicles of Riddick. That Anti-hero persona that ultimately does the right thing even though they aren't the hero type.

@KatieWanta That's some amazing character growth right there!

@SeriesVerse I think I'll say the Harry Potter series have the most epic world of all the books I've read. But then they aren't my favourite books anymore. I still like them though.

To all our fellow series-bingers,

Due to some changes, we are no longer part of or affiliated with the Ambassadors, Wattpad, or its staff.

As such, as we no longer WattpadSeries, but have renamed ourselves to SeriesVerse, and we very much hope you will stay with us as the profile will continue to run with the help of volunteers from the community.

Please bear with us as we work through some of the changes on the profile. Submissions for Reading Lists will open again soon.

We look forward to bringing attention to more new (and old!) series as we move on!

This one is for our writers: Which book series inspired you to start writing? Tell us how it influenced your own storytelling.

eugenemark15

@WattpadSeries The "Daddy Long Legs" book series and the iconic "Star Trek" franchise played pivotal roles in shaping my journey as a writer. Just as Jerusha Abbott, the protagonist in "Daddy Long Legs," embarked on a transformative literary adventure through her letters, I found inspiration in the power of personal narratives. The emotional depth and character development in Jean Webster's work fueled my desire to create relatable and authentic characters in my own stories.

Simultaneously, the futuristic and thought-provoking universe of "Star Trek" instilled in me a fascination for exploration, diversity, and the boundless possibilities of the human spirit. The show's emphasis on moral dilemmas, societal issues, and the exploration of the unknown significantly influenced my approach to storytelling. I learned to weave intricate plots that not only entertained but also carried profound messages about humanity, much like the crew of the Starship Enterprise.

In essence, the blend of Webster's intimate storytelling and the grandeur of "Star Trek" has molded my writing style, encouraging me to craft narratives that delve into the human experience while venturing into uncharted literary territories.

@WattpadSeries wasn't really a series, I was super disappointed in a fun book that ended in tears so I decided to rewrite it and it became a series with a happy sequel through me!

The book series which inspired me to start writing was Anne of Green Gables. I loved the flow and how the story went and all the adventures and how the twists and turns kept you wanting more.
