This isn't as much of a request, rather a cool fact you can use if you wish.
Since you are writing a chapter about Barbatos, and barbs is a mysterious and elegant person it might be cute to do something with flower language because it is mysterious (was at one point used to communicate secretly), elegant, and very romantic (was often used for queer couples to express their love back when it wasn't legal)
Oh and fun fact the most romantic flower isn't a rose.
I much prefer spindle berry (you can look up a picture because most people dont know it)
But it means your charms are engraved on my heart.
You totally don't have use it or anything I just thought it was fitting.

@ChickennuggetXcheese I absolutely love this idea btw, flowers are so pretty and as a literature and communication freak i love learning ways to include flowers into speaking. I also really like foreign language, so I spent some time picking up French, Russian and Spanish

@ChickennuggetXcheese ivy is a good romantic plant especially for loyalty. It has the connotation of fidelity through hardship because of it clinging to ruins long past their prime, it is also a very atmospheric plant, so going to an ivy overgrown cottage paints a beautiful mental image. If you want more cute flower/plant facts let me know because I may or may not be a huge flower language fan... Oh but a good thing to know about flower language is not all plants have one meaning and if they are native to multiple places in the world the meanings can be contradicting (because what plants where associated with what was very closely tied in with culture, such as if local healers used them or if they were used for specific ceremonies or if they appeared in myths) so if you do plan on using flower language please keep in mind that for some plant the meaning you are trying to put out can be confusing if you don't reinforce with other plants who share a meaning (like in a bouquet) or you specify which meaning you are talking about. Tho most people today dont know much about flower language so no one will care at all if the meaning isn't 100% acute. Im probably the only weirdo you will meet who actually knows (^-^) so definitely don't worry about messing up if you do end up going for it (which you totally don't have to, I don't want you to feel pressured just because I asked you once).

@ChickennuggetXcheese i actually really like this! I can use it for a different chapter that isn't smutty, maybe a cute fluff with a shy reader who's obsessed with flowers. He hands her certain flowers daily, which she soon realizes is a pledge of his love and loyalty to her.
