May Update: It me! I bring this update as a freshly graduated forensics student - don't worry I'm never free because I've made the active decision to keep going to school but now I can say all this, with flair. For now, I've got some free time, so MoDF will be busted out at a decent rate now (at least to get back on track with my two chapters per month goal). I'm currently about 1/3 through Chapter 10, Chapter 11 should be done pretty soon after, so if you've been keeping up with it at its slow pace, this month will be a good one. If you didn't know, I keep a very updated marker of what % of the story we're through in my bio after each chapter is posted; since we're at the 20% mark, we're moving into Act 2. Just a fun fact in case you didn't know how much was left.

Hello, friends! Just wanted to do a quick update since it's been a minute. I'm working on chapter 7 as we speak, but I have to figure out which plot point is coming up, so it might have to wait until this weekend to go up. On another note, "I Breathe Salt" has amassed 50,000 reads somehow, so thanks for everyone who's read that! Feedback is so appreciated - like, actually rip me to shreds. 
          
          I'd also like to note that I'm not as happy with MoDF as I would've liked to be, which is why it's been so slow-going. I'll still work on it, but you may also see some other projects pop up. Keep an eye out for something called "Killing Saints" (*cough* another mystery/thriller but no ghosty bits this time) or something else with "Skeleton" in the title - that one is more of a paranormal dystopian surrealism thing, idk y'all, it's got vibes and I've got an obsession with bones, I guess. Anyways, that's all.

Chapter 3 of MoDF is finally up! I'll be working on outlining Chapter 4 this evening (I'm introducing who will probably be my new personal favorite character in the series...but Gideon is still up there, of course), since I actually had a day off for once. Also, if you hadn't noticed, I include a song I feel fits the vibes of the story/scene/characters at the top of each chapter - in IBS as well - so I'd check those out if you get bored with your own playlists! NOVEMBER UPDATE: Sup, y'all. Just wanted to pop in real quick - I had an update written for October but then the post just...disappeared so I didn't bother rewriting it. However! I wanted to thank y'all who are still reading "I Breathe Salt," we're still ranked highly in mystery, and we're very close to that 50k reads mark. I'm not really trying to get reads, that wasn't the goal, but to know that this many people have clicked on it and been interested and even read all the way through,  it's really motivating, and if I had more time in any of my days, I swear you would've had all of MoDF by now. However, with NaNo having begun, I /am/ working on it, so you can probably expect the third chapter soon. For real this time. Expect the start of the new cast in that one.

Ay, I just spent...several hours trying to edit the past tense in the first five chapters of IBS into present tense so it's consistent with the rest of the story. I also managed to cut a few hundred words out of each in the process and fix messy sentences, so hopefully the beginning reads a lot smoother. But this is just me saying that it looks different. It still needs a solid rewrite, but for now it'll stay the way it is. Yeehaw.

Coffee is most certainly a meal, depending on what you put in it....
