The newest chapter of CRIMSON is up! And this one is full of surprises! (Comment below if you got the bad joke).

FINALLY

After a long wait unfair to anyone reading CRIMSON, I have gotten a chapter published!! That's right - ONE CHAPTER.

Hope you enjoy it! Any updates to this story will be really sporadic for the time being, hopefully I'll get some time to add onto what I've done so far.

SO

I have decided to go ahead and start on one of the two ideas I'd been tossing around my head for the past few months. Updates to this story may be extremely sporadic, but I've got a good idea of what I want the characters and plot to look like.

The prologue and first chapter of CRIMSON are up now! This story is loosely based off of a concept album by one of my favorite bands, The Warning. Even if this story isn't for you, I HIGHLY suggest listening to their music as it is fresh, old-school, and addictive all in one. They are awesome.

I still have some drafts for my 'Dark Knights Trilogy' on hand, I just didn't have the inspiration to piece anything together yet. That may change in the future, and I may be updating two stories at once. I hope you enjoy the one new story for the time being!

Wanted to ask for your opinions:

I've got two ideas that I MIGHT(!!) want to turn into a new work. Lemme know your thoughts-positive or negative-on what I've been stewing on the past few weeks.

Idea #1- I am a HUGE Dark Knight Trilogy fan and have considered writing a spinoff trilogy centered around Jim Gordon's daughter, Barbara, returning to Gotham and finding her way towards joining a group known as "The Dark Knights" defending the city from some classic villains from the movies and the comics.

Idea #2- A murder mystery novel based off of The Warning's "Queen of the Murder Scene" concept album. I'd have to work on pacing some of the darker aspects of the storyline tbh, I know one drawback with the Spider-Gwen Trilogy was that there was a FAIRLY LARGE amount of angst with not enough lighthearted moments to balance it out so this new story would have to be much better in that department.

DeeAberration

@SeventhNarrator I'm sweating while trying to decide between the two. I'm more on Idea 1, but 2 sounds pretty awesome too. Also, I never said that your Spider-Gwen story was too heavy on the angst, but the stakes were really high, which is a compliment to your work. Spider-Gwen 2 just happened to be that Empire Strikes Back, and appropriately so.

Just hopped back on here after a break to see people making RANKINGS of the three stories and characters?? CRAZY COOL!!

Going to post this and another to ask people: if you have finished the trilogy and want to voice your opinion, what is your ranking of the three stories and why?

DeeAberration

@SeventhNarrator
            1. Part 3 - A satisfying conclusion that ties up all loose ends and resolved everything. The stakes were so high that they put me on the edge of my seat.
            2. Part 1 - A charming introduction to Gwen's world and characters. Everything was done so perfectly. Felt like I was watching a legit TV series like Smallville during its prime years.
            3. Part 2 - I love this one too, but there has to be a third rank. Easily the darkest of the trilogy. It takes Gwen through a psychological wringer while building up her relationships with Miles and her father. The symbiote feels like a true threat. I'm not usually a fan of downer endings twice in a row, but in the bigger, it was a necessary evil for the overall story. That penultimate chapter, however... oh, my God the feels!

I hope too! Glad you loved it! For my part, it was a blast to do (yeah, I pushed the novel/comic-like look a bit too far xD).

The only thing the translation forced me to do was to switch my mother tongue talked by Stacy’s mother and daughter for another one.

I first thought about reversing English and French, but an American not understanding a word of English didn’t make any sense. So, I thought about other European languages, and ones taught at American schools. Since Gwen doesn’t understand a single word of Spanish, I instantly eliminated Portuguese and Italian, who are too similar.

I then searched in which country the name Helen was recurring, and one of them was… Germany. So, I switched French for… German (yet I don’t speak a single word of this language xD, and my pronunciation is ATROCIOUS, so I left some notes to help pronuncing them a bit better).

            End of the funny anecdote.

IF, and that's a big and highly unlikely IF, Sony/Marvel references the Trilogy for Spider-Gwen content, I will make a demand that they include The Warning's music. Too phenomenal of a band and perfect for the stories to be left out, if you haven't heard them then give them a listen-especially the album 'Error', it's my favorite overall album since Wasting Light back in 2008.

Keep Me Fed has some BANGERS, ngl. I absolutely love how they were able to blend some hard rock with pop, I thought it would've been impossible. H.Y.C.A.D., Que Mas Quieres, Sharks, More, and Burnout were all pretty experimental in that aspect and they succeeded, big time.

I returned last week from vacation in Canada, and took advantage of the flight home to listen to The Warning's ENTIRE discography. And to be honest imo, ERROR is indeed a great album, but I preferred their latest, Keep Me Fed. Anyway, to each his own ;). Peace!
