It’s officially official, lol. I’m off my hiatus and back to writing so here is a sneak peek at my current work, “Unpredictable”. Please enjoy and if you do, please share! Love any and all support!
“Growing up, Violet remembered the different shades of the sky as the sun went down, the silver in the waves of the ocean as the moon reflected on the water, and the gritty sand beneath her feet. Some days were hot, and some days were cold. Some days the wind blew exceedingly harsh, and on other days, the air stood still.
Now Violet can barely even recall the constellations that were in the sky, the way the grass grew uncared for and everywhere, or how the rain fell. She can barely recollect how intense some of the storms were with lightning cracking in the distance or the way the earth smelled afterward.
These things change one day when Violet and her family move to a place called Eden, where the sky is a dull shade of blue every day, and the sun never sets colors in the sky. Colors are pale, food is bland, rules are obeyed, everyone is nice and has a job to do.
Everyone does what they're told, except Sawyer. He travels beyond the city limits, reads books that are not allowed, does not apologize when he does something wrong, and laughs at everything taught in school.
Sawyer knows what Violet has forgotten, and when they meet, the hazy dream of Eden suddenly falls away, and the truth is revealed.
The truth on how unpredictable the world really is.”
