I love science fiction because it takes what is possible today, adds some imagination, then makes you live in the future. So much science fiction has pushed us to try the unusual or seemingly impossible things in our life. Authors like Jules Vern wrote about fantastic futures of submersibles, monorails, and more! Now those things are common place. Instead we type on tablets, have renewable energy, and are slowly privatizing space flight. To me science fiction is an imaginative approach to a future soon to be realized.
