I fell. And fell. And fell. It felt impossible to breathe in this suffocating darkness, much less escape. Without the aid of those I called my friends- no, my family, I never would have returned to the light.

With a hand guiding me from both sides, I walked along the fine line into the unknown, welcoming all that called for me with cautious, yet open arms. Perhaps this time, I won't feel the need to hide again.
