Decided against the crossover However I will be most likely working on a side project that is a spinoff of someone else work along side my IRL brother. Likely will be using the same characters from this story in that one with some slight deviations here and there but it will just be chalked up as an alternative universe/timeline for these characters. I’ll also most likely post this story on Royal Road instead of here just to keep this one and the other one separate.
          
          I will be continuing to work on this one but the other one in the meantime will allow me to over come writer’s block and hopefully help me continue this story as I get better at writing.

If you see me editing things don’t be alarmed. Nothing major has changed besides a few tweets made to specific dialogue to correct some errors here and there. 
          
          I’m also preparing to possibly make room in my story for a crossover event with another writing project someone is working on and having the foundation to have my story bridge with their universe if I decide to do so. However this is not set in stone and even if I did make a crossover with another writing project it would not effect the writing I have planned or any of this story in any way shape or function. Essentially it would just be me having something happen that I already planned on happening for an ever so slightly different reason and it would be to set up a second story that would like the a full crossover.
          
          However like I said it’s not set in stone and it is something that if I added the foundation in for it later I could pull the whole idea and scrap it without unwriting a single line in my story with how it stands now.

          Definitely gonna try and write more this year. Hopefully I can get like 10-15 more chapters done by the end of the year. 

Alright everyone I have finally reached 6 full chapters in my 3rd Rewrite of my book. Now I will be taking down the old version of “To What End?” 
          
          I wanted to make sure that when I wrote this one that I was going to commit to it and I have finally passed a threshold of commitment that I won’t be backing away from this time. No more rewriting the whole plot and story direction. No more having multiple stories up. This is the story I intend on writing and eventually ending. 
          
          However with all that said I ask that you all bear with me as this means I will be taking a lot more time to write certain chapters and events. I need to actually plan them out well and think things through so everything is consistent and to avoid plot holes like the last two stories I wrote.
          
          In other news I have some AI art of my characters again that I will probably be sharing slowly over the next couple of chapters. I won’t be commissioning artists or anything for the time being or foreseeable future unless for some reason my book takes off and I deem it worthy of spending money to get art for. Some may critique my use of AI art but I assure you it is just a placeholder to accurately represent how I imagine and see the characters. I’d rather have authentic art but beggars cant be choosers.

Decided to update the description of my book a little bit with the help of AI. I don’t usually use AI a whole lot but I figured its ability to summarize would be useful in making a short description that is not just haphazardly written for the sake of it.
          
          Don’t know when the next chapter will be finished I’m just busy with life so I haven’t made time to sit down and write as of late.

Alright a little spoiler/ heads up for the next chapter.
          
          So I have removed a character that I introduced in the previous version of my story from Saber team. She didn’t really feel like a fleshed out character at the time and she was kind of half assed so I removed her (for now. She might have a comeback at some point with a different purpose for the story.)
          
          With that though I have brought in another character from my very first version of this story. When you see her name it will be one of those “if you know you know moments.” 
          
          Anyways I just wanted to mention that because I know someone will probably be wondering about it at some point. 
          
          Next chapter can be expected either this weekend or next week. 
          

Alright everyone this has been something I have been long considering and I have finally bit the bullet on.
          
          I am rewriting To What End…again.
          
          Yep I’m going through my 3rd rewrite of this book. This time I have plugged a few plot holes that have been bugging me throughout writing this story from the beginning and I have finally gotten what I like to call the “Catalyst” event finally figured out. It took me forever but I finally figured out the origin of the war other than a bullshit explanation. Also the reason for Scott being on Saber team will now make sense when yall read the first chapter and it is not a half assed expiation like last time. 
          
          The characters themselves are not changing I’m just adding more depth to the story than there was before. The main plot should follow a better path now and I shouldn’t have to worry about trying to find things for the characters to do.
          
          This time I am NOT going to be going into this with the intention to rewrite since I have thoroughly thought out the lore that is behind this whole book now. 
          
          Sorry to keep yall waiting like I did I had a lot of IRL hurdles to jump over before I began writing again but now we should be relatively back on track. Just remember yall that I am still in the army IRL and that I especially with my job get busy with work. Thank you all for your patience and you can expect the first chapter of the rewrite to be available in the next couple of days (maybe even today but no promises)
          
          I also will be taking down the old story at some point but not until I get at least 4 chapters released of this one so it will still be up for everyone to read for the time being.

          I have updated one of my chapters to include the ranks and last names of the characters that I didn’t mention at the time of writing.
          
          At the time I did not have a set in mind rank for these characters or their last names other than an idea and I wanted to take the story a little further to see how they would naturally fall into their respective roles. 
          
          However I have now officially made their ranks and last names and in order to save y’all time from having to go back and read I am simply going to list their names and ranks here for anyone is interested.
