***STORIES UNPUBLISHED FOR EDITING***

Shae Nicholson was born in 1989 and for the six blissful years between her taking her first breath, and learning how to read, her parents did not have to hear about how badly she wanted to write stories.

It was this passion that brought her back from the brink of a major depressive episode, and she completed the first draft of Fractal over sixteen months, working through major health problems, juggling a young son, full-time work and an absent spouse.

The recurring themes of loneliness and mental health are explored in her writing, as well as the heaviness of regret.

Writing also enabled Shae to effectively paint a vivid picture of how she saw the world around her whilst on the Autism Spectrum.

Always feeling a "bit left of centre" Shae was compelled to create a story about how grief and the instinct to survive affects people differently - by empowering some, and disabling others.

Fractal is the first story she has been willing to let anyone read.
