Yo guys, I'm making a Avatar: The Last Airbender x male oc book and I don't know if I should start with the backstory or reveal it later on down the road since my oc will appear in season 2 of atla. I need help. Should I start with backstory or tell it later on?

@starzznguitarzz it's also good to mention that you can make us sympathise with a character WITHOUT immediately showing his backstory. If you make us sympathise with him without the backstory, then the backstory will hit harder. And you could also do like a little mix of first show us how he ends up wherever he is at the beginning of season 2, and then later on you can reveal it in detail

If you want us to know this character and sympathise with him right away, backstory first. If you wanna create a bit of an intrigue, then reveal it later on. If you're still not sure, flip a coin.

I think you should start with the backstory in the first season that way we get a general idea of who this Male OC is and how he fits into the story.

Guys I need an honest opinion. I have been flagged twice for images that don't violateany of wattpads guidelines. One was seen as fine but for some reason this one is seen as an image that violates the rules. I don't see it and it pisses me off when wattpad do this and it just doesn't make sense to me.
