I am a self-published author starting over from scratch. The Indie Publishing world was great to me. I learned a lot, met some wonderful people. I discovered that the ins and outs of the process was too overwhelming for me. I want to write and read but for the most part, what I was doing was competing and marketing. I was trying to fund this industry for myself, and the joy I had when I first started continued to decline. I want the joy back. I want to write. I want to share, learn and converse. I want the fun and joy I get from writing to be just that...fun. 
When I first started putting my work out there, I was optimistic. I quickly learned I was overzealous in my pursuit of being a "writer". Now I hope to just share my work, learn from others and hope and pray that maybe one day, my work will be appreciated for what it is...fun and creative. I no longer hope to be the next J.K. Rowling or Stephanie Meyer. I just want to be me. I hope my work reflects that.
