@Shark19977 Nah man, I prefer them. I just don't like it when an author promises a new chapter soon, but then keeps canceling for one reason or another. Like Dummiewithahoodie. I mean, if what they say is true, their life is a mess. So it's understandable. But it got incredibly tiring for them to constantly announce a new chapter will come out soon, then for them to every quickly, say it's been delayed or cancelled for one reason or another. And when a new chapter DOES come out, the quality and length isn't nowhere near what it used to be. Sure, could put it on being rusty. But still. Having an author announce the progress and word count of a chapter, especially one so long, lets people know that yes, the chapter is coming along, and will be out eventually. You don't exactly promise set dates or times when a chapter comes out. Sure, sometimes you say you want to get a set amount of chapters done within a set time. But you're only saying that's what you want to do, not promising that's what's going to happen.
