I published my first book in 2019. I've never stopped telling you guys stories and some of you never stopped listening to them. And tonight I'm telling you one more. Not the one that will give you a swarm of butterflies, but something that might be a lesson? X moved to a different country, made new friends, signed up for a course she didn't know the basics to, struggled to get her life together mentally and physically acclimating to all the changes. Y, X's neighbor and a brilliant boy, had too much in common with X. They became friends and he gave her a helping hand in ways more than a friend would do. X, grateful for the help, tried to reciprocate the help with absolutely friendly gestures. And oh she thought he would be one of her guy friends but Y mistook that friendship for attraction. He hung around her for more than he did around others, tried to woo her with sweet talk, gave her too much emotional support and never backed away from flirting with X. X reading the room all too well conveyed Y's friend that she had no interest in whichever direction things were going. And when Y heard of this, he asked her if she thought of him as a pervert, if he had ever overstepped his boundaries. X, an empath to the core, seeing her friend's suffering, lied that she felt the same attraction but they were the right people who met at the wrong times. She had hoped that lie would've made her friend feel better but things took a different turn. Y started taking liberties no man had ever done with her before, and X stupidly let him. He told her he loved and she didn't know how to react, what to say at the start. Maybe it was the sweet talk, maybe it was the emotional attachment, maybe it was the physical intimacy but soon she was caught in the maze of unwanted feelings unknowingly. She isolated herself from her roommates and any friends. She relied too much only Y to remain as a friend.
